The inspiration for Sugarcane Rhumbar was to capture and complement opposing elements.
Guests will enjoy an eclectic / diverse experience. Everyday cocktails are not the norm at Sugarcane, because we’ve created a unique selection of drinks using native ingredients including local, rare tropical fruits.
Boring bar nibbles have been discarded and replaced with Spanish-inspired Tapas, but with an Australian twist such as local prawns on sugar cane skewers basted with Bundaberg rum.
The décor brings together many different elements:
- Aboriginal art
- South Pacific Island artefacts
- Cairns memorabilia — photographs
- Books — food, local history, travel
